As we move into the year ahead, I remain focused on one core responsibility as your Councillor by always trying to make thoughtful, balanced decisions that support Fort Erie today while planning responsibly for tomorrow.
Each new budget year brings both opportunity and challenge. Our community continues to grow, and with that growth comes increased demand for services, infrastructure, and long-term investment. This year’s budget builds on the progress we’ve already made strengthening core services, supporting community priorities, and ensuring we are prepared for future needs without losing sight of fiscal responsibility.
Throughout the budgeting process, I’ve worked alongside Council and staff to ensure our financial planning remains transparent, practical, and aligned with the Town’s Strategic Plan. That means making smart investments, asking tough questions, and always keeping residents front of mind when decisions are made.
Equally important is maintaining trust. Clear communication and accountability are essential, and I believe residents deserve a clear understanding of where their tax dollars are going and why. A strong financial foundation allows us to respond to challenges, support local businesses, and continue building a community we can all be proud of.
